Dr. Amber Buller is well-liked and respected by colleagues and students alike.  She has a way with children and teens that they immediately respond to —they want to open up to her.  I’ve seen her completely turn a child’s life around.   Her clear focus and disarming sense of humor are what make her so successful with kids, parents, and her peers.
— Joy Kushner, Coordinator of Academic Supports, Germantown Friends School, Philadelphia
I have had the privilege of working with Dr. Amber Buller first as a teacher in a school where she provided comprehensive and tailored support to students, and secondly as the Principal in a school where she provided valuable consulting and diagnostic services to my Learning Support Team. Amber’s breadth and depth of knowledge and her professional and caring approach to each student combine to make her one of the best learning support and mental health professionals I have encountered. She is down to earth and relatable, has a great sense of humor, and has an amazing ability to connect with people, particularly students. I recommend her highly!

Amber’s work with kids and families changes the dynamics around school.  Issues ranging from school avoidance to executive functioning and anxiety to the management of accommodations based on psycho-educational testing are addressed compassionately and professionally.  Her experience in both clinical and educational settings allows her to see the strengths and challenges facing each child and to help families navigate with and advocate for their child. Her knowledge of schools in the tri-state area allows her to understand how different student profiles might be best served in some schools rather than others.  She is personable, professional, and works on behalf of children and families first. She speaks the language of schools and ensures that children she works with acquire the skill of self-advocacy through modeling and role-playing. Amber’s work changes students’ experiences in school. As a school administrator who had the chance to work alongside her, her input enriched the lives of our shared students while educating the other adults about how we could serve students better.

I first met Amber when she took a position at the Tatnall School in Wilmington, DE. I had been a consultant to the school in prior years. I found her to be one of the most insightful and compassionate therapists I’d encountered in my over 30 years of practice. I had contact with many of the students she had seen briefly at the school. She was revered and adored by them. Amber is truly an outstanding psychologist and has the ability to make connections with the people that she works with.

Dr. Buller is by far one of the most exceptional school counselors with whom I have worked during my two decades as an educator. She understands students deeply and makes them feel safe and supported no matter what the issue, while appropriately challenging them to take the steps necessary for healing, growth, and success. Her level of expertise is superb and she has the personal traits — including a fabulous sense of humor — that allow her to be a tremendous resource for students and families alike.
